Emergency Assistance - Financial and In-Kind

Mountain Mission offers several types of emergency assistance to individuals and families in their time of hurt and need. We have guidelines in place  in order to assure that each client receives the highest level of quality attention and the most effective assistance. Our assistance not only helps people through their time of need, but we also determine why they are in this situation and when possible educate them on how to not return to that situation and to maintain a succesful, productive and nurturing life.

Our Emergency Assistance Program is recognized in and around the Kanawha Valley for many years of successful emergency assistance relief to individuals and families that have experienced unplanned emergency situations in their lives. Through these years of experience this program has been modified and fine tuned to seek out true emergency needs and offer quality emergency assistance while stretching every dollar to its most effective length. Times and communities have changed over the years and, therefore, our staff must continually evaluate itself and its policies to insure the continuance of efficient and effective assistance. The computer software that is used for this program has been custom designed to fit the needs and restraints that this program details. It tracks detailed client information on each request that one may make with us for assistance and generates numerous monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that help create, not only detailed client information, but the demographics of the areas we cover as well. The results of these reports measure the level of assistance in each area of our program and detail facts for future program modifications which show us where we were, where we are and what we need to do to get where we need to be with this program.

Our programs include:

* Housing   * Utility Service   * Food
