Christmas Food Basket Program
Christmas is a special time of year and, together, we need to ensure that each child, woman and man has a Christmas meal.
This is the most exciting and rewarding season of the year. This year we are celebrating our 81st year for our Annual Christmas Food Basket Program. With help from area businesses, schools, civic organizations, churches and individuals, we collect, sort and pack food baskets to be distribute to families, shut-ins and individuals, who in many cases, would not have a Christmas meal to share with their families.
The food baskets contain items such as vegetables, flour, sugar, dinner rolls, baking goods, various holiday foods along with a turkey and topped off with candy for the sweet tooth. These items are enough to feed a family not only for Christmas dinner, but for days after.
Thanks to your support, we were able to supply food baskets to nearly 850 families – a total of nearly 2400 people!
We enjoyed spending the day with the Governor and Mrs. Manchin last Christmas are looking forward to having them join us again this year!
